TAP Fund
Each year Church Times readers give generously to the Train-a-Priest (TAP) Fund, providing much-needed financial support to Church of England ordinands and their families.
Over £4.7 million has been raised since 1952 and, as the Church Times keeps nothing for administering the fund, every penny goes to help train the next generation of priests.
There is a special focus on fundraising throughout Lent and Eastertide, with the total for the year announced at Pentecost. You can however donate at any time during the year.
Train-a-Priest Fund 2023 Appeal: TAP Africa
This year, thanks to a substantial legacy we already have sufficient funds to support any Church of England ordinand who comes up against an unexpected financial crisis.
For our 2023 TAP appeal, therefore, everything raised will go to ordinands in Africa who face financial difficulty, to support them as they complete their training.
You can find more details about the fund here: www.churchtimes.co.uk/train-a-priest-fund
